Neurological conditions that benefit from rehabilitation include:
- Intravertebral disc disease (disc herniation)
- Fibrocartilagenous Embolic Myelopathy (FCE)
- Spinal Trauma
- Brachial Plexus Injury
- Degenerative Myelopathy
Services Offered
At Veterinary Neuro Services we limit our rehabilitation to patients with neurological conditions. Primarily, we focus on teaching owners the exercises they can do with their pet at home.
These include:
- Weight bearing
- Range of motion
- Proprioceptive training
- Thermal therapies
- Stretching
In addition to these, we utilize class IV therapy laser post-operatively. This promotes healing by increasing blood flow, reducing inflammation, and relieving pain.
