Dr. Timothy A. Schneider
Dr Timothy Schneider is a veterinarian whose practice is limited to surgery. Dr. Schneider has over 15 years of experience in small animal referral surgery.
Prior to admission to veterinary school and for the first 2 years of veterinary school, he worked as a veterinary assistant in a small animal hospital and managed a horse breeding/boarding facility. After graduation from the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine with honors in 1994, he completed a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and then a 3 year residency in small animal surgery also at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
After finishing his residency, he has practiced in referral surgery hospitals in North Carolina and Alabama. His surgical interests are diverse but he has a particular affinity for fracture repair – especially when an interlocking nail is involved, as well as wound healing/wound care, and gall bladder surgery.
He and his wife are the proud parents of two fine sons.
His family shares their home with four dogs, two cats, and one horse – technically the horse, Dudley, lives in the pasture. Outside interests include woodworking, scale model building, and jogging and he will talk sports almost any time!
